Solar storm, 7 October 2015

A solar storm hit Earth on October 6th and 7th, 2015, and with it came amazing aurora displays throughout two nights. Lots of shapes and colors made my head spin, not knowing what to capture. Cold nights let the lakes slowly start to freeze, making near-perfect aurora reflections a special treat. But look for yourself…🙂

  1. Wonderful photos! We were told that the Northern Lights would be visible from the north to the south of the U.K. Last night, 8.9.15. I haven’t heard any reports yet so wonder if anyone managed to see anything, in our greatly artificially illuminated country. Your photos more than compensate!!! They are wonderful and really exciting!! Many congratulations!

    • Thanks for the kind words, Helena. I’ve heard there were photos taken in the UK. Not sure anymore I saw them because the internet is ful of aurora photos🙂 Have a wonderful weekend ahead!

    Gruss Daniel
